Walmart seeks a Vision Center Optician to enhance sales and customer satisfaction through effective management and team building. Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining in-stock inventory levels. Manages budgeting and forecasting sales, assessing economic trends and community needs. Models and enforces customer service standards, providing guidance to Associates to ensure customer satisfaction and issue resolution within company guidelines. Oversees community outreach programs and promotes Associates' engagement. Ensures compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection measures, and conducting quality reviews. Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with Members/Customers, educating them on products, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, and performing minor repairs. Upholds company policies and fosters a culture of belonging, integrity, and excellence. Builds high-performing teams, communicates effectively, and attracts and retains talent. Acts with integrity, maintaining high ethical standards, and supports Walmart's mission and values. Delivers results with a customer-first approach, making data-driven decisions, and embracing continuous improvement and innovation. The hourly wage range for this position is $24.50 - $34.50, with additional compensation based on performance and location.
Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
