Position Summary

What you'll do

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of Walmart stores. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, you will conduct inspections, repairs, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and in various temperatures
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass MVR
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or related fields

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and equipment using multiple craft skills
• Use work order systems to support store repairs and document activities
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues
• Complete required safety training for equipment operation

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or 5 years' experience in related trades. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for a CDL.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical program, trade license, and proficiency with office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
