Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Position Summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of Walmart stores. You will operate under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights
• Ability to work in various temperatures and sit or stand for long periods
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or related

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills
• Support stores with reactive repair work orders and document activities
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues
• Complete safety training for equipment and tools

Compensation

Wages range from $19.00 to $35.00 per hour, with additional premiums based on specific circumstances. Actual pay depends on skills, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in trades, or 5 years' experience in trades
• Valid Driver's License and eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
• Trade license in the relevant field
• Proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
