What you'll do...

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our retail store, you will perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, and fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you will follow established maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, and perform repairs and cleaning of facilities and equipment.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., move frequently on ladders, work at heights, and in various temperatures
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or related

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair facilities and equipment using multiple craft skills and tools
• Use work order management system for repairs and documentation
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect and test facilities to diagnose issues
• Complete safety training for equipment and tools

Minimum Qualifications:

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, or 5 years' experience in related trades. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program, trade license, and proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
