Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R maintenance technician to support commercial HVAC/R systems at the Mandan, ND facility. The role requires either recognized HVAC/R certification or substantial hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance of building systems.

EPA refrigerant handling certification is required, along with a valid driver’s license. Preferred candidates may have a 2-year HVAC/R program or equivalent experience, plus skills in reading blueprints/schematics and using common hand/power

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal) required.

Position Summary

What you'll do

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.

Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.

Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program, Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located, Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams., Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
