Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs for store facilities and equipment. The role involves inspecting, cleaning, and repairing fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following established maintenance schedules and guidelines.

You will join a fast-paced team dedicated to safety, functionality, and clean aesthetics of Walmart Stores.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls

Minimum Qualifications…

Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
