What you'll do...Role summary: The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance and repair projects to ensure safe, functional, and compliant facility environments. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing third-party providers, and maintaining equipment and vehicles while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires effective communication with facility users, prioritizing work assignments, and implementing cost-effective improvements. The Technician supports operational excellence by maintaining quality standards, promoting ethical practices, and contributing to sustainable facility upgrades that enhance overall service and safety.

About the team

The Exterior Service team supports Walmart stores across the Market by maintaining landscaping, performing minor parking lot repairs, and assisting other markets and technicians. This team ensures facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing through seasonal maintenance and timely repairs. Members coordinate with Home Office to standardize equipment and optimize resources. They operate specialized machinery and vehicles while adhering to safety and quality standards. The team plays a key role in sustaining store environments, contributing to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through dedicated service and technical expertise.

What you'll do

• Experience in sourcing, verifying, and approving materials, equipment, and supplies to meet operational needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

• Valid, state-issued driver’s license.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90 day card.
• As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
