The Critical Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing and executing highly skilled technical operations within a mission critical data center environment. This role ensures continuous availability, reliability, and efficiency of building management systems (BMS), mechanical and electrical infrastructure, utility plants, and HVAC systems. The position also supports all maintenance activities required to sustain optimal data center performance.
The team oversees advanced technical operations within critical facility data centers, focusing on Building Management Systems, utility plants, air‑conditioning, and maintenance. Members utilize expertise in project management, vendor coordination, troubleshooting, and inspection of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems. They ensure operational efficiency and reliability by adhering to established procedures and standards. Collaborating closely, the team maintains infrastructure performance, optimizes system functionality, and supports continuous improvement efforts in a structured, professional environment, contributing to the seamless operation of essential facility systems.
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area.
Option 2: 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility, or virtualization related technologies.
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate has knowledge of accessibility best practices and will support Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 – $130,000.00. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and stock options.
