Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform welding duties using a wire welder and stick welder
  • Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
  • Works and assists in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
  • Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department.
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.

  • Produce high quality of work with zero non conformances
  • Work in a safe manner following Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain an excellent attendance & punctuality record

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
  • Must have AWS D 1.1 certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years welding experience is preferred
  • Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders.
  • Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
  • Have a demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
  • Able to work independently or as a team player
  • Able to take direction and communicate with others
  • Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented
  • Employs a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization

  • Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move material during the course of performing his/her job
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
