Job description

Position Summary...

Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company, market, and local plans and tactics to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility that may present issues such as high turnover, engagement challenges, inexperienced staff, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, performance evaluation, recognition, and fostering a sense of belonging across organizational levels.

Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, researching issues, leveraging resources, reviewing policies, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution across managerial levels. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, maintains relationships with authorities, and oversees asset protection, safety, quality assurance, and operational reviews. Develops community outreach programs, manages media relations, and promotes the company's presence and initiatives within the community.

Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Oversees budgeting, sales forecasting, and market analysis to improve margins and increase sales. Ensures store standards and training environments are met, fostering an engaging and inclusive culture that supports associate development and succession planning.

Develops strategies to attract and retain a skilled workforce, supporting mentorship and leveraging talent capabilities. Cultivates a respectful environment aligned with company standards of integrity and ethics, and promotes a culture of belonging and continuous learning. Builds partnerships with community stakeholders and maintains high standards of ethical conduct.

Acts with integrity, serving customers and members by delivering results, making data-driven decisions, and balancing priorities. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence, innovation, and resilience, supporting technological and process improvements. Promotes a positive, inclusive workplace where all associates can thrive.

Offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health, financial, paid time off, and additional programs like Live Better U educational benefits. The annual salary range is $110,000.00-$170,000.00 plus additional compensation based on performance, location, and external factors.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates, or 4 years of management experience with similar supervisory responsibilities. Additional requirements include successful completion of job-specific training and assessments. For facilities selling firearms, a successful background check and firearms training are required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be necessary.

Preferred Qualifications...

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, with experience as a Store Manager in a low or medium complexity store, or 2 years in a high-volume retail store managing a fresh or dry grocery area.
