Job description

Position Summary

Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company, market, and local plans to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility that may present issues such as high turnover, engagement challenges, inexperienced staff, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, succession planning, performance evaluation, recognition, and fostering a sense of belonging in the workplace across organizational levels.

Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, researching issues, leveraging resources, reviewing policies, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution across managerial levels. Ensures compliance with company policies, develops relationships with officials, maintains asset protection and safety standards, oversees quality assurance, and develops action plans to address deficiencies. Acts as a community outreach representative, fostering relationships with local organizations and media, and supporting company-sponsored programs and sustainability efforts.

Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Manages the Academy training environment, ensuring store standards and engaging trainees, fostering a high-performance culture. Develops strategies to attract and retain a skilled workforce, promotes integrity and ethics, and supports a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging.

Builds partnerships within the community, supports associate development, and maintains high standards of integrity and service. Uses data insights for decision-making, seeks continuous improvement, and adopts new technologies. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates. Or, 4 years of management experience with similar supervisory responsibilities. Additional requirements include successful completion of job-specific trainings and assessments, including for firearm sales if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, experience as a Store Manager in a low or medium complex store, or 2 years as a Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment, particularly in grocery sectors.
