A leading retailer is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations and ensure excellence in customer service. This role includes financial accountability, staff supervision, and community outreach, with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 plus bonuses. Candidates should have management experience, preferably in retail, and the ability to lead teams effectively.
Directs and guides management and hourly associates on customer service techniques by modeling excellent service, addressing customer needs, complaints, and issues within company standards, and building relationships with associates. Responsible for the financial performance of the facility by achieving sales, wages, and expense targets, controlling expenses, and developing financial plans. Participates in community outreach and acts as a company representative, promoting company programs and sustainability efforts. Oversees facility operations, ensuring service levels, merchandise presentation, inventory, safety, and quality standards are met. Provides supervision and development opportunities for staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management. Drives business plans, identifies operational needs, and supports continuous learning. Promotes company policies, ethics, and community engagement, fostering a culture of belonging and respect. Acts with integrity, focusing on customer service, operational excellence, and team development. 1 year of general management experience including financial accountability.
2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervising 10+ associates OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year supervising 10+ associates.
For facilities selling ammunition or firearms, relevant state-specific certifications and background checks are required.
All associates must complete required trainings and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership from Live Better U and Bellevue University.
Experience supervising 20+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
