Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a sense of belonging in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.

Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and establishing accountability. Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy. Builds high-performing teams by embracing diversity and creating a workplace where associates feel supported and connected. Communicates effectively with energy and positivity to motivate and influence others.

Attracts, retains, and develops talent, recognizing contributions and accomplishments. Acts with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart's culture and values. Makes data-driven decisions, considering both short and long-term priorities, and encourages continuous learning and improvement. Supports community engagement and sustainability efforts, aligning with Walmart's mission to make a positive impact for all stakeholders.

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, and other perks. Live Better U provides educational opportunities paid by Walmart, including high school completion and college degrees. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 plus differential, with additional bonuses and compensation based on location and external factors.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
