The mission of the Release Engineering team at Walmart is to enable fast and efficient delivery of high-quality Web and Mobile applications. We strive to keep continuous and faster releases, improve developer productivity, and ensure code quality throughout the Web and Mobile release process.

Aim to achieve this by prioritizing the following:
Faster Releases: We commit to increase the speed in releases through efficient strategies, communications, processes, engineering CI & CD, automation and deployment processes. Enabling rapid feedback cycles from leaders, developers, and End to End teams. Ensuring swift sign off from all the teams involved in the release process and validation of their code changes. Facilitating faster Post Code Freeze and Emergency Bug Fix processes. Improved Developer Productivity : We focus on providing eCommerce teams with processes, tools, automation, and best practices that enhance their productivity and release experience. By simplifying the processes and automating repetitive tasks, we enable our developers to focus more on building innovative features and delivering value to our customers.
