  • Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts.
  • Willing to cross-train and perform other tasks as needed.

Job description

Epsilon is a leader in the Off‑Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical‑centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on‑site completion by us or others.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned tasks under the direction and guidance of the department Lead Hand
  • Assemble panels under the direction of the Sr. Sheet Metal Operator and/or the department Lead Hand
  • Install assemblies, such as flashing, wall panels, insulation, and heating & air conditioning ducts in supportive frameworks as instructed
  • Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools as directed
  • Willingness to cross‑train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.

Education, Skills & Experience Required
  • Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years sheet metal experience is preferred
  • Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
  • Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
  • Able to work independently or as a team player
  • Able to take direction and communicate with others
  • Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented
  • Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co‑workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization
Physical Demands
  • Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk ; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move material during the course of performing his/her job
  • The employee will have to frequently use ladders and work at a variety of heights
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
