Job summary

Epsilon is seeking a hands-on Machinist/Fabricator to join our Alabama shop. The role focuses on reading drawings, cutting metal stock with a band saw, and using hoists, forklifts, and hand tools to prepare parts for assembly.

You will work in a safety‑first environment and contribute to timely production with accurate measurements. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of industrial experience, the ability to operate cranes and powered equipment, and a collaborative mindset to support cross‑training

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and drawings.
• 1+ years of industrial experience preferred.
• Must be able to operate an industrial powered forklift.
• Experience with overhead cranes and hand tools.
• Good time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up and operates band saw to cut metal stock to dimensions
• Reads drawing cut sheet(s) for specifications, such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
• Obtains and transfers stock to machine, manually or with hoist.
• Records material cuts & scrap on dwg cut sheets
• Able to measure work accurately for conformance to specifications, using tape measure
• Marks identifying data on workpiece (project name and drawing references
• Bundles cut sheet pieces together and/or places them on staging carts
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the other job tasks as assigned

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
• 1+ years of industrial experience is preferred
• Must be able to operate an industrial powered fork truck
• Must be able to work with various hand tools
• Must be able to work with overhead cranes
• Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
• Able to work independently or as a team player
• Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization
