Job description

Position Summary

Performs inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment such as trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and service vehicles.
Creates and processes work orders, performs minor diagnostics, and identifies maintenance, repair, and replacement needs.
Conducts repairs and replacements for various components, including drivetrain, communication equipment, and HVAC systems.
Ensures compliance with company and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and requirements.
Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling to ensure safety compliance.
Correctly identifies and performs warrantable repairs and processes warranty claims for proper credit.

What you'll do...
  • Follows company guidelines for all inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment.
  • Creates and processes work orders for all necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs minor diagnostics using technical and electronic equipment.
  • Identifies maintenance, repair, and replacement needs for various components, including drivetrain, communication equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Ensures compliance with company and DOT guidelines and requirements.
  • Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling to ensure safety compliance.
  • Correctly identifies and performs warrantable repairs and processes warranty claims for proper credit.
  • Retains parts according to warranty guidelines and creates and processes warranty claims.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.50-$33.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance. Valid state-issued driver's license. Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25. Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Office, ASE Certification, Transportation - Driver's License Class F - Certification.
