Position Summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join our expanding team. This role involves supporting and overseeing repairs of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart stores, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, and working with various tools to ensure optimal operation.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment in Walmart facilities.
• Use work order management systems to document repair activities and support store operations.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Diagnose issues through inspection, operation, or testing of equipment.
• Complete safety training and adhere to OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
• Experience with Glycol and CO2 systems.
