Job summary

Walmart is expanding its Facilities Maintenance team in Benton Harbor, MI. The Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician will apply multiple craft skills to maintain and repair stores and facilities, using tools and work orders to handle repairs and documenting activities.

A CDL/clean MVR and 5+ years in trades are preferred, with safety training required. Competitive pay, benefits, and a comprehensive education program are offered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment and assets across multiple crafts.
• Use work order system to manage reactive repair work orders for stores.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years’ experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years’ experience in one of these trades.
• 1year’s experienceusing intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Canlift upto 75 lbs.
• Can Move up and down laddersfrequently
• Comfortable working at heightsfrequently

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets byutilizingmultiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting,operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements tooperateequipment and tools safely

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
