As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicates effectively, and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Being flexible to the needs of the business, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
- Be an Expert: Maintains in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provides meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment.
- Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to do the same.
- Be an Owner: Ensures operational excellence and profitability, maintains a clean work area, ensures quality standards, eliminates waste, secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assists members with purchasing decisions, and ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, executing tasks at a high level, and mentoring others. Recognizes contributions and assists in training.
- Act with Integrity: Upholds high standards of ethics and compliance, supports Walmart values, and fosters a culture of accountability and transparency.
