Walmart in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Senior Manager, Applied AI for SparkPricing & Incentives. You lead the development and deployment of AI-powered production systems that optimize Spark driver pricing and incentives for the Last Mile Delivery platform, guiding the end-to-end ML lifecycle.

You mentor data scientists and ML engineers, set technical direction, and partner with Business, Product, and Engineering to deliver scalable, reliable AI solutions with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in CS, Statistics, OR Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• 8+ years building and deploying production AI solutions, incl. 3+ years in technical leadership.
• Expertise in ML, reinforcement learning, optimization, experimentation, and large-scale AI systems.
• Proven ability to partner with Business, Product, and Engineering to deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists and ML engineers to build and deploy AI-powered Pricing and Incentives solutions for the SparkDriver platform.
• Partner with Business, Product, and Engineering to define strategy and deliver scalable, production-ready AI systems.
• Drive the end-to-end AI lifecycle from problem formulation and experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Develop machine learning, reinforcement learning, and optimization solutions to improve marketplace performance.
• Establish technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices for reliable, scalable AI systems.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing Applied AI team delivering measurable business impact.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
