Job description

We are looking for a skilled Flame compositor with beauty and graphic compositing experience. You should be comfortable compositing shots, managing timelines, and QCing masters for final delivery. A strong technical understanding of the post workflow and experience at a VFX/Color/Finishing studio is essential. You should understand how different teams collaborate in a fast-paced commercial environment and be adept at hosting clients and managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Passion for design aesthetics and attention to detail are a plus. The role requires entrepreneurial resilience and the ability to leverage Walmart's scale to make an impact within the production community.

What you'll do...
  • Conform and deliver high-end television commercial spots for broadcast, web, and social media.
  • Composite motion and static graphics, beauty, and general set cleanup.
  • Coordinate with Motion Graphics and Editorial teams to ensure smooth asset flow for quick turnaround.
  • Lead creatively within the studio, guiding pitches and workflows.
  • Manage offshore partners for outsourcing tasks like rotoscoping and paint/prep.
  • Establish guidelines for work done outside of Jandy Studio to ensure consistency and reusability.
  • Foster a collaborative and inspiring studio environment, ensuring a positive client and team experience.
Basic Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Flame for compositing and timeline management.
  • Strong knowledge of Davinci Resolve and industry-standard color workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and editorial workflows.
  • Basic understanding of audio mixing workflows.
  • Technical knowledge of video specifications including compression, resolution, aspect ratios, and formats.
  • Comfort with on-set data capture methods.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to achieve end goals efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with motion design and editorial teams.
  • Strong understanding of design concepts and typography.
  • Experience with advanced Flame workflows like 3D tracking and CG compositing.
  • Background in Marketing, Retail, or eCommerce industries.
  • Leadership experience in managing creative teams.
Above and Beyond Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Nuke compositing.
  • Experience with real-time tools like Unreal and workflows involving real-time rendering.
  • Interest and experience in AI tools for expediting compositing tasks.
