Job summary

Walmart is seeking a maintenance technician in Whitestown, IN to support repair and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment and facilities. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and teamwork with other technicians and operations staff.

The candidate will operate powered equipment, complete work orders, and use CMMS to track history and parts usage. Monday–Friday shifts from 2pm to 10pm with competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience repairing/maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, suppliers and associates.
• Willingness to follow established repair procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance technicians in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing and facilities (eg bathrooms, plumbing).
• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (eg customers, suppliers, associates).
• Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents.
• Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment when repairs are visible or obvious.
• Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery and other powered equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment per procedures (lift trucks, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, dock equipment, etc.).
• Maintain repairs on DC equipment and building safely and correctly, report unsafe conditions.

Maintenance Operations

Maintains repairs and conducts preventative maintenance on DC equipment and building in safe and correct ways Repairs items in a timely manner and utilizes established repair policies and procedures Tells management about dirty and harmful working conditions and unsafe practices Tells management when tools and supplies required for performing repairs on DC equipment are unavailable or broken

Utilizes CMMS

Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS to perform work eg record work history identify parts usage identify warranties in a timely and effective manner

The hourly wage range for this position is $32.30 - $35.80* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
