Position Summary...

Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch quality in innovative technology? Walmart/VIZIO is seeking a talented Quality Engineer III to join our VIZIO’s Inscape QA Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded systems and firmware for Vizio TV, ensuring high-quality standards and optimizing performance.

About the Team:

Join our dynamic VIZIO’s Inscape QA Team, where we focus on delivering exceptional quality assurance for Vizio TVs. Our team is dedicated to testing and validating embedded clients, firmware, and cloud/core services, playing a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience and supporting the company's goals of innovation and excellence.

What You’ll Do:
  • Execute blackbox/white-box/functional test cases for embedded clients and firmware.
  • Perform validation and exploratory/manual test coverage to ensure accuracy of ACR data.
  • Conduct test executions on the full technical stack from embedded clients to SOC firmware.
  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering/QA teams to identify and address test coverage gaps.
  • Automate manual test cases using BDD frameworks and report/document test coverage.
What You’ll Bring:
  • 2+ years of proven experience in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies and experience in device testing/API testing/embedded systems.
  • Experience with device/cloud automation.
  • Strong analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across different divisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software quality assurance, manual/automated testing, or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years' experience in software engineering quality assurance, manual/automated testing, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Software Engineering Quality Assurance, Manual/Automated Testing, or related area.
  • Quality assurance certification (e.g., CSTE, CSQA).
  • Related industry experience (retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).
  • Knowledge of creating inclusive digital experiences, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA), assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility.
