Job description

QC Instrument Support (QCIS)

Description

This position will assist the Quality Control Instrument Support (QCIS) team with the sitewide implementation of Air Particle Counters at the Swiftwater, PA location.

The activities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Perform qualification activities required for the implementation of Air Particle Counters (APCs)
  2. Assist in optimization of sitewide Environmental Monitoring program
  3. Develop an understanding of best practices for optimal equipment operation and compliance with regulatory requirements
  4. Follow cGMPs and strictly adhere to company policies and procedures
  5. Complete required training as assigned
  6. Participate in QCIS team meetings
Skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills and computer literacy in all Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and MS Teams
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal errors and high attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs, regulatory requirements, and data integrity concepts
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience in a cGMP laboratory setting
  • Prior experience with instrument commissioning/qualification
  • Vaccinations as required (e.g., flu vaccination)
Additional Description

The selected candidate will work in the Manufacturing and Supply – Vaccines division of the company located in Swiftwater, PA, and be a member of the QCIS team. The team manages lifecycle processes for various laboratory equipment types and supports the QC laboratory to ensure operational success. The engineer will benefit from mentoring, coaching, and hands-on learning experiences related to instrumentation used in vaccine testing. On-site attendance at the Swiftwater, PA facility is required.
