Principal Product Manager, GenAI Products

Walmart Connect is seeking a senior product leader to own the vision, strategy, and execution of the organization's key GenAI products. You will build and lead a product (potential to grow to a portfolio) in this exciting area. You will own your product end to end, collaborating closely with various partners across the organization, including engineering, other product and business teams.
This is an opportunity to build from 0 to 1 and help the organization into uncharted territories and drive meaningful growth and transformation.
Location: San Bruno, CA or Hoboken, NJ. This position will be in primary office. Relocation assistance will be offered if needed. Domestic and International travel is expected.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop & Scale GenAI Strategy: Craft and implement a multiyear vision and enterprise product roadmap for GenAI with a platform based mindset.
Drive Business Transformation: Embed GenAI-powered automation into existing workflows and products to enhance productivity and accelerate growth.
Cross-functional Leadership: Influence and guide a high-energy, matrixed organization, aligning diverse stakeholders across product, sales, marketing, operations, and engineering.
Collaborate with Top Talent: Work closely with world-class engineers and data scientists to build scalable, high-impact AI products that meet Walmart’s business goals.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends, stakeholder needs, and the competitive landscape to ensure Walmart Connect remains a leader in AI-driven advertising and retail solutions.
Product Performance & Metrics: Establish and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) for GenAI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and iterating quickly to drive continuous improvement.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and insights to inform product strategy, identify growth opportunities, and optimize the GenAI product lifecycle. Use A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics to refine product features and capabilities.
Qualifications
9+ years of experience in product management, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams in a complex business environment.
Proven AI Expertise: Strong track record in building and scaling GenAI/AI-powered products in a fast-paced, ambiguous, evolving environment.
Deep technical and strategic understanding of AI/ML, particularly in Generative AI applications.
Strategic Thinker and Change Driver: Ability to navigate ambiguity, anticipate future trends, and drive a product-led transformation within a complex organization.
Strong ability to balance business strategy, technology, and user experience to drive impactful product development.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Exceptional ability to align, influence, and communicate effectively across a diverse enterprise.
Industry Experience: Background in MarTech, AdTech, or Media is preferred.
High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Adept at fostering team cooperation, promoting enthusiasm, and motivating strategic problem-solving.
Fast-Paced & Agile: Comfortable working in a highly independent environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
