Position Summary...

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drives financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and develops action plans to reduce shrinkage and meet sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, recognizes associates, and fosters a workplace culture of belonging. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and measuring progress. Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, supporting the Open Door Policy and guiding others in business practices.

Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates a workplace where associates feel supported and connected. Attracts, retains, and develops talent, recognizing contributions and accomplishments. Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k), stock options, paid time off, and other perks. The annual salary range is $65,000 - $80,000 plus additional compensation based on performance and location.

Minimum Qualifications...

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must complete all required training and assessments, including Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications...

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
