What you'll do... Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and in-stock inventory levels. Manages budgeting and forecasting, assesses economic trends and community needs. Models, enforces, and provides guidance to Associates on customer service approaches to ensure customer and member satisfaction. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as good community members. Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and developing performance improvement plans. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition, fostering a culture of belonging. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating members/customers, selecting products based on their needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment. Upholds Walmart's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, listening to concerns, and reviewing policies. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities, supports plans and initiatives, and builds relationships with stakeholders. Ensures compliance with policies and supports Walmart’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates an inclusive workplace. Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics, and supports Walmart’s culture and sustainability goals. The hourly wage range for this position is $29.50-$39.50, with actual pay based on location and experience. Additional premiums may apply depending on circumstances.
Completion of 2+ years of college OR 1 year of retail and supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year in optical. High school diploma or equivalent. Eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable laws.
Experience supervising associates.
