Job description

Position Summary... The Imaging Manager role is responsible for overseeing our Image Editing / Retouching program. You’ll manage and assign work across our internal artists [contingent/freelance] as well as third-party vendors in the day-to-day production of all marketing still photography. You are the subject matter expert in consistent static image production standards with both on-the-box experience as well as management soft skills. The role will help to establish best practices for bidding and scheduling of all retouching tasks as well as setting timelines and deliverables to meet the business’ requirements. You are entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to pivot to problem-solve. You are excited by the potential to leverage the scale of Walmart to make an impact within the production community; and your ability in this role to inform and drive this impact.

What you'll do...
  • Retouching imagery for web and print use. Including, but not limited to, compositing, blemish removal, clipping, color correcting, object removal and alteration all while using non - destructive photo manipulation and retouching techniques.
  • Manage retouchers , and imaging editing team as well as off - shore partners to create high - quality retouched imagery for Marketing and e - commerce use.
  • Partner with creative leadership and art directors to establish style guides and best practices for retouching needs across the full funnel.
  • Oversee multiple projects with different deadlines simultaneously.
  • Establish workflows for handling both high - volume imagery workstreams and high - touch upper funnel imagery.
  • Communicate with team members and vendors with clear feedback and prompt feedback to ensure the larger team can deliver to the quality and timelines required by the business.
  • Act as team player -- help ensure smooth operations , a friendly and calm workspace for our teams to be inspired ; and a studio experience that leaves our clients and partner s wanting more.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong problem - solving skills, ability to perform under pressure with a steady, calm demeanor.
  • Ability to work within deadlines, thinking creatively to increase productivity.
  • Strong communication skills to resolve issues and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Comfortable in a fast - paced, team oriented, photo studio environment.
  • Deep understanding and experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (for example, Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Acrobat Pro), including experience with non - destructive photo manipulation and retouching.
  • Excellent photo - retouching skills necessary. Retouching skills include but are not limited to, clipping, masking, color correcting, adjustment layers, liquefying, compositing, using history states, creating, and using actions.
  • A portfolio or website that demonstrates proficient knowledge and understanding of photo manipulation and retouching is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with photo studio management tools such as Shotflow, Creative Drive, or Creative Force.
  • Marketing/creative agency experienc e, in - house experience .
  • Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eCommerce industry .
  • Experience with pre - press and retouching for print .

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
