What you'll do...

1. Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools.
2. Identifies customer needs and business priorities.
3. Coordinates and executes work assignments.

8. Participates in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, job shadowing, technician certification, and evaluation of associates.
9. Maintains quality and safety standards by ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are in proper working order and available.
10. Ensures associates are trained on logistics and company policies and procedures, and monitors compliance.
11. Distributes and maintains procedures and supporting documentation.
12. Assigns and supports activities to ensure compliance with external rules and regulations (e.g., OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT).
13. Serves as an expert in landscape management, managing assigned areas using horticulture methods and solutions.
14. Maintains garden beds, containers, and landscape plants.
15. Leverages technology (phones, tablets, laptops) to complete work orders and maintain records.
16. Performs landscaping tasks such as cutting grass, weed management, and raking leaves.
17. Applies planting and pruning techniques as needed.
18. Identifies and resolves pest and disease issues through chemical applications.
19. Troubleshoots and provides customer service by communicating with facility users, resolving problems and complaints.
20. Ensures work environments are maintained according to Walmart policies and procedures.
21. Demonstrates and promotes compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity using the Open Door Policy.
22. Performs other facility-related maintenance duties as assigned.
23. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise, providing advice and guidance to support and improve action plans aligned with customer and business needs.
24. Builds relationships with stakeholders, identifies business needs, and monitors progress and results.

Additional Compensation

The hourly wage range is $26.00-$51.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• No recent serious traffic violations or DUI/DWI
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification within 90 days
• Ability to read and speak English
• 2 years’ experience in landscaping/gardening

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in horticulture or related field
• Certified nursery or landscape professional
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Leadership experience in landscaping
• Spanish language skills
• State/local licensing as required
