Job description

Position Summary...

We are seeking a highly skilled communications professional with experience in large organizations to drive transformational change and impact. The position will support Walmart’s Global Responsibility efforts across philanthropy, including Walmart and the Walmart Foundation’s $1.7 billion cash and in-kind giving annually through its community, opportunity, and sustainability portfolios. The candidate will develop and execute comprehensive internal and external communications strategies to enhance our company's reputation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in change and process management, using data and insights to inform strategies and leveraging AI to drive efficiency.

This role involves driving brand awareness, serving as a high-level spokesperson, advising senior management, providing executive communications support, fostering media relationships, and ensuring sensitive messages are communicated effectively. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is integrated across the business.

The selected candidate will engage in community and stakeholder outreach, build digital and media strategies to support business goals and associate engagement. They will lead creative campaigns to promote Walmart’s philanthropic and community initiatives, develop relationships with journalists and bloggers, monitor media and digital strategies, and manage public relations issues. This role will also partner with the business to empower associates, customers, and members to support causes they care about, fostering a culture of local giving.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $220,000, with additional performance bonuses and, for some roles, stock options.
