Will you shape the future or will the future shape you?
The opportunity

At EY Consulting, we are building a better working world by transforming businesses through the power of people, technology, and innovation. Our clients are at the heart of what we do. We’re focused on solving the key issues of our client buyers, building deeper relationships and generating lasting value with significant impact.

Our firm sets the standard for consulting services, fostering an environment that encourages career ownership at every stage. As a part of our Finance Consulting team, you'll be at the forefront of this dynamic service line, driving change and delivering solutions that revolutionize business operations. You’ll help our clients with transformation and innovation efforts: driving growth, reducing costs and managing risks proactively.

Your key responsibilities

Our Finance Consulting teams help deliver strategic advisory and consulting services to CFOs and finance organizations, providing our clients with a unique business perspective on how to improve, evolve or transform the finance function. Your efforts could include helping finance leaders reduce their cost base, increasing efficiency/quality of information or shifting emphasis from transactional to strategic finance activities to empower growth and enhance profitability.

In the Finance practice, we help CFOs reimagine the finance function to drive long-term value across their organizations. As part of the team, you will:

  • Create a finance vision and strategy that enables CFOs to deliver lasting value for the business.
  • Design a future operating model that meets reporting, regulatory and control requirements, underpinned by viable technologies.
  • Develop the case for change, capturing both financial and non-financial costs and benefits to give leadership the insight they need to move forward.
  • Represent the latest finance thought leadership and innovation across the themes shaping the CFO agenda.
Industry sectors

Our practice professionals serve clients across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: Consumer, Retail, Health, Life Sciences, Industrial Products, Mobility, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Private Equity, Media, Technology and Telecommunications.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must:
  • Be pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, business or a relevant discipline, supported by a strong academic record.
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members and clients.
  • Understand that the expectation for this role is in person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week depending on the needs of the engagement, project or practice area.
  • Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
  • Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates applying to the Government & Infrastructure practice must:
  • Have U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated time frame, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance.
Ideally you:
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Are a purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to innovate, adapt and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.
  • Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
