What you'll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives such as store community outreach programs, and ensuring customer needs and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to enhance customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrinkage and meet sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, recognizes achievements, and fosters a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and measuring progress. Identifies improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates an inclusive workplace where associates feel supported and valued. Works collaboratively, communicates effectively, and attracts and retains top talent.
Acts with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics, supporting Walmart’s culture, and supporting sustainability and community initiatives.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential where applicable, with additional performance bonuses and possibly regional pay zone adjustments.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of CBC and firearms training or state-specific certification may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5+ direct reports with responsibilities in performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
