Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback, communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, develops action plans to address deficiencies, and leads process improvements to enhance customer experience. Drives financial performance by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, controlling expenses, monitoring inventory flow, and implementing action plans to meet sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing performance while promoting diversity and inclusion. Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company mission, values, and ethics, fostering a culture of integrity and respect. Builds high-performing teams, attracts and retains talent, and creates a workplace where all associates feel supported and valued. Acts with integrity, maintains high ethical standards, and supports Walmart's sustainability and community initiatives. Focuses on delivering results with a customer-first approach, utilizing data insights for decision-making, and encouraging continuous improvement and learning. 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearms-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
