Job description

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community and outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Financial Performance

Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.

Team Supervision and Development

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, recognizes associates, and promotes a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.

Operational Activities

Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and establishing measurable goals. Identifies improvement opportunities and promotes continuous learning and adaptability.

Compliance and Culture

Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, supporting the Open Door Policy. Builds high-performing teams that embrace diversity, create a supportive workplace, and foster a culture of belonging. Acts with integrity, maintains accountability, and supports Walmart's mission to make a positive impact locally and globally.

Customer Service and Business Models

Delivers results with a customer-first approach, using data insights for decision-making. Applies the EDLP and EDLC business models to all plans, encourages innovation, and supports change management.

Qualifications
