Walmart is seeking a retail leader in Somersworth to manage teams, enhance customer experiences, and drive financial performance. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback, communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved, develops action plans to correct deficiencies, and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring inventory flow and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and setting expectations. Promotes a culture of belonging, recruits and develops qualified staff, and maintains high performance standards.
Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, supports plans to meet customer and business needs, and measures progress. Ensures compliance with policies and supports Walmart’s mission, values, and ethics. Fosters a culture of respect, integrity, and service, attracting and retaining talent, and promoting a positive workplace environment. Acts with integrity, maintains high ethical standards, and supports Walmart’s sustainability and community initiatives.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional performance bonuses. Compensation may include regional pay zones based on location.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must complete all required training and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership via the same programs. Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
