Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, and fostering a culture of belonging. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability for results. Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, supporting Walmart’s mission and values. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, creates a supportive workplace, and attracts and retains talent. Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics, and supports a culture of transparency and accountability. 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be necessary. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
