A leading company in retail is seeking a Team Leader to develop and manage store associates while driving financial performance. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance with company policies, and fostering a supportive work environment. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and have prior supervisory experience.
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback, communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community and outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals for the business area.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth potential.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifies and communicates goals, builds accountability, and measures progress. Addresses improvement opportunities and demonstrates adaptability and continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans, supports the Open Door Policy, and provides guidance on applying these principles in business practices.

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), stock purchase, life insurance, PTO, parental leave, disability coverage, discounts, military leave pay, and reimbursement programs. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus applicable differential and performance bonuses. Additional compensation may include regional pay zones depending on location.
Two years of college; OR one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience; OR two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
