Walmart seeks a Customer Service Supervisor to lead store operations in Canal Winchester. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback, communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved effectively, develops action plans to correct deficiencies, and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring inventory flow. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing staff. Promotes a culture of belonging and recruits qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, and measuring progress. Ensures compliance with company policies, supporting ethics and integrity, and implements related action plans. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates an inclusive workplace where associates feel supported and valued. Live Better U offers educational benefits, including tuition assistance for various programs, with eligibility based on employment status and other criteria. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional performance bonuses and potential regional pay adjustments.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Candidates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
