Position Summary
As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, be flexible to the needs of the business, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage.
- Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs following recipe measurement instructions. Work with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, nozzles) to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, ensuring adherence to food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind. Adopt new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date‑control standards. Eliminate waste, prepare for seasonal events that impact bakery volume (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events), identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues and concerns.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the members’ experience in Bakery and modeling high‑quality service and products. Interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources to collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. Identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks, communicate progress and information, determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications
6 Months' Experience in Fresh Production Area.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
