The Vision Center is fast-paced and well-equipped with resources and technology to support your success. Your most valuable tool? The ability to genuinely connect with our patients, as they turn to Walmart for trusted expertise.
Provide evidence-based vision care to ensure patients' health and wellbeing by recommending and prescribing medications and other treatments, such as red eye, LASIK surgery, and cataract surgery.
Deliver routine vision care using evidence-based guidelines. Educate patients and store associates on eye health, including contact lens care, disease management, and safety factors. Collaborate with other health professionals to develop patient care plans, observing optometry scope of practice per state regulations.
Embrace new equipment and technology, including digital phoropters, EMR, Maestro, OCT, and retinal cameras.
Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school, licensed in good standing in the state of practice, with EMR/EHR experience, and eagerness to adopt new technology. Experience in treating ocular diseases is preferred.
Foster a patient-centered environment, ensure adherence to SOPs, and promote transparency and error reporting. Conduct ongoing training and implement improvements to enhance safety and compliance.
