The position requires a comprehensive understanding of these areas to support Walmart's operational and strategic objectives.
The responsibilities span data analysis, environmental compliance, operational process management, stakeholder engagement, safety and health regulation adherence, security and asset protection, training facilitation, risk assessment, process improvement initiatives, effective communication, transportation management, and leadership in team development and compliance. Specific tasks include ensuring data quality, supporting environmental audits, explaining operational functions, managing safety inspections, investigating security breaches, delivering training programs, conducting risk assessments, and leading process improvements.
Options include a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields, or at least 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety within relevant industries. Additional requirements include familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as TPM, WCM, Lean Six Sigma, and completion of necessary training programs.
Preferred qualifications encompass certifications like Associate Safety Professional, Loss Prevention Certifications (LPC), Certified Security Professional (CSP), or equivalent, along with investigative or asset protection experience in retail or warehouse settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive is also desired.
