Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with leadership
• 7+ years leading software/API development teams
• Hands-on API architecture, design, and management (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
• Strong API security knowledge (OAuth, JWT)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of API management platforms (Apigee, API Gateway)
• Expertise in cloud, microservices, CI/CD
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Jira
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Responsibilities

• Provide people management by hiring, goal setting, staff development, and performance reviews.
• Oversee software engineering and API development teams.
• Set strategic direction for software solutions and API lifecycle.
• Promote culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Ensure adoption of agile, DevSecOps, and best practices.
• Drive modern technologies and scalable, secure software.
• Define API standards and governance for reliability.
