Hello Recruiter regulatory team is seeking a US Regulatory & Nutrition Affairs Specialist for Foodbud. The role focuses on localizing our platform for American regulation, ensuring regulator-grade outputs, and working remotely with the US team.

Responsibilities include defining US labeling rule sets, auditing AI outputs for compliance, and advising the commercial team on regulatory positioning while monitoring FDA developments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FDA food labeling regulation including Nutrition Facts panel, %DV, and serving sizes (RACC).
• Experience with FALCPA and FASTER Act big-9 allergens.
• Familiarity with FDA menu labeling requirements and state/local variations.
• Experience using USDA FoodData Central or equivalent for nutrient analysis.

• You will make Foodbud's US outputs regulator-grade.
• Define US labeling rule sets — Nutrition Facts formatting, rounding rules, %DV computation, allergen declaration logic — and validate the product against them.
• Localize the allergen taxonomy from UK-14 to US big-9, handling divergences correctly.
• Build US gold-standard validation datasets with the India ML team; audit AI outputs for regulatory accuracy.
• Advise the US commercial team on compliance positioning; join enterprise sales calls as the regulatory authority.
• Monitor FDA and state regulatory developments; maintain the compliance roadmap.
• Author trust-building content — labeling guides, allergen resources — for the US market.

About the Role

We are looking for a US Regulatory & Nutrition Affairs Specialist to localize our platform for American regulation and serve as our US nutrition authority, working remotely.

Knowledge of FDA food labeling regulation: Nutrition Facts panel, %DV, serving sizes (RACC), FALCPA/FASTER Act big-9 allergens.

Familiarity with FDA menu labeling (calorie disclosure for 20+ location chains) and state/local variations.

Experience with nutrient analysis using USDA FoodData Central or equivalent.

Exposure to regulatory review of software/labels or compliance documentation.

Comfort working with engineering and ML teams to encode rules into product.
