About the Team

The TELUS Health Communication & Change Management Solutions team advises clients on communication and change management related to health, pension, and benefits programs, including pension and savings plans, benefits and wellness programs, compensation, absence and disability management, and employee assistance programs.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced communications consultant to own client engagements and contribute to our practice growth. The role primarily involves pension and benefits communication, developing and executing growth strategies, securing new projects, creating communication strategies, developing content, and fulfilling client commitments.

Location

This is a remote position supporting leading companies worldwide, working with senior HR decision-makers. Optional in-person attendance is available at TELUS Health offices if accessible in your area.

Responsibilities

• Identify client communication opportunities proactively and take initiative
• Implement communication strategies for diverse audiences using various media
• Research and develop communication materials such as reports, newsletters, infographics, videos, and microsites
• Provide consulting expertise on pension, benefits, health, and total rewards communication
• Participate in and facilitate client meetings and calls
• Evaluate and measure communication strategy effectiveness
• Improve processes for delivering communication solutions
• Coordinate supporting services like design and translation
• Develop accurate budgets and realistic project timelines
• Perform additional tasks and special projects as needed

Requirements

• Comfortable working remotely
• University degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or related field
• Graduate studies in writing/communication are a plus
• At least 5 years of experience in a communication-related role
• Experience with pension, benefits, health, and total rewards communication
• Health communication experience is advantageous
• Experience in consulting firms or agencies is a plus
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging content
• Strong project management, research, and presentation skills
• Customer-focused with strong business acumen
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail
• Organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently or in teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
