Job summary

US Patriot Tactical is seeking a Senior Lead Retail Sales Associate to run daily store operations, coach a sales team, and meet sales goals. The role requires strong customer focus, product knowledge, and the ability to manage staffing, training, and inventory with accuracy.

You will guide staff through product upsell, ensure proper merchandising, and maintain safety standards while delivering an exceptional shopping experience across over 100 locations.

Qualifications

• Three years of previous experience with retail management preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Financial and quantitative analysis is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of a US Patriot store, supervising all staff.
• Schedule employees effectively, balancing requests for hours.
• Provide sales/product training and upsell/cross-sell coaching.
• Ensure products are stocked, tagged, faced correctly, and categorized.
• Know gear catalogs to advise customers and suggest related items.
• Set sales goals and drive the team to meet store targets.
• Oversee HR procedures including hiring and termination per policy.
• Create an outstanding customer experience.
• Relay customer requests to District Manager and Planner for new items.
• Accurately receive deliveries and manage inventory levels.

US Patriot is seeking a Full-Time Senior Lead Retail Sales Associate to match soldiers and airmen to the best brands in the business, including Nike, Oakley, and Under Armour. We have over 105 retail locations and multiple web portals to meet our customers’ tactical gear needs.

The Senior Lead Retail Sales Associate is responsible for all store operations to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction. As the leader of the retail team, the Senior Lead Sales Associate must be a coach and motivator, driving continuous improvement in sales and satisfaction.

WHAT TO DO

• Manage the daily operations of a US Patriot store, including the supervision of all store employees
• Scheduling: Efficiently schedule all employees while taking into consideration each subordinate’s requests for hours
• Training: Sales/product training, upsell/cross sell, POS procedures, shelf facing and stocking, inventory:
• Sales and Merchandising: Will ensure products are fully stocked, correctly tagged, properly faced, and in the correct category. The Lead Sales Associate is responsible for creating a sales plan to meet the store’s sales obligations
• Must know the gear (study catalogs) to assist customers. We need to suggest related items: example: they buy a holster, we suggest a pistol lanyard, magazine pouches, belt, etc.
• Encourage employees to perform by setting sales goals and a plan to meet store goals
• HR Hiring and terminating employees based on the company's hiring process
• Customer Experience: Ensure that customers have an outstanding, pleasant shopping experience
• New Items: Communicate customer requests to the District Manager and Planner so we can bring in new items as soon as possible
• Receiving: Accurately receive all deliveries of merchandise to the store in a timely, accurate manner
• Inventory: There must be stock available for sale; the Lead Sales Associate must check inventory regularly
• Administration/Reporting will complete accurate, timely paperwork and reports
• Safety is a priority. Will model safety standards and promptly report accidents
• Must demonstrate good judgment and respect for the position with the Company, coworkers, AAFES Staff, Clients, and Customers

WHAT YOU BRING

• Three years of previous experience with retail management preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem analysis, and decision-making
• Financial and quantitative analysis (preferred)
• Demonstrate ability to manage the sales team to achieve the company's sales goals
• Proven ability to motivate and coach others
• Ability to continuously move around all areas of the store daily
• Ability to work flexible shift hours, 7 days a week
