R1, the leading healthcare technology and services provider, is seeking a Patient Registration Representative for a full-time, on-site role at Ascension Dell Seton Medical Center – University of Texas in Austin. You will handle patient registrations, verify insurance, support collections, and deliver exceptional service in a high-volume environment.

The position reports to the Registration/Patient Access team and requires multitasking, attention to detail, and calmness under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous Patient Registration experience is required.
• Bilingual (preferred).
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Participation in the Emergency Department on-call rotation twice per month.
• Work some holidays based on departmental needs.

As a Patient Registration Representative, you will be responsible for completing accurate patient registration, insurance verification, supporting collections efforts, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This is more than registration - it's a frontline healthcare customer service role where you directly impact patient experience, hospital operations, and revenue cycle success.

Location: Ascension Dell Seton Medical Center - University of Texas

Shift: Full-time, Wednesday 12 PM - 6 PM, Thursday - Saturday 6 AM - 6 PM

What You'll Do:

• Complete accurate patient registrations and obtain required demographic information
• Verify patient insurance coverage accurately and efficiently
• Support collection efforts and ensure patient financial responsibilities are appropriately addressed
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, clinical staff, and internal departments
• Assist with resolving registration and insurance-related issues and discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.12 - $23.21 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
