Please click here to learn more about our locations. **CURRENT EMPLOYEES**: Please log into Workday Click Here to apply internally through the \"Jobs Hub\" **Job Description** **Job Summary** The Music Therapist provides therapeutic music interventions to pediatric patients and their families, addressing physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs within a hospital setting. **Key Responsibilities*** Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff to identify patient care needs* demonstrates professional behavior when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.* Orients patient and family to the Music Therapy program. Assesses the family's and patient's learning needs and ability to participate in program.* Develops and follows age specific and culturally appropriate treatment plans based on standards of Music Therapy and individual needs.* Integrates knowledge and skills gained from other staff members (social work, psych, nursing, rehab, etc.) into the treatment plan.* Organizes and implements therapeutic group interventions for all patients that are age, culturally, and developmentally appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.* Assists with inventory, maintenance and ordering of departmental supplies.* Orients students, visitors, and new staff to the department and its philosophy in pediatric burn care.* Aids in supervision of child life volunteers and assistants. **Required Qualifications** * Music Therapy Board Certified (MT-BC)* Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days* 1 year music knowledge, skills **Preferred Qualifications** * 1 year of pediatricCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
