Job summary

AVIRE, part of the Halma group, is seeking an Operational Buyer‑Planner based in Sussex, WI. This role owns day‑to‑day purchasing for Sussex and Marlboro, NJ, and drives material availability for production and service operations across both locations.

You will consolidate demand, manage suppliers, partner with cross‑functional teams, and focus on cost, quality, and continuity. A hybrid work model and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing, supply chain, or material planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of MRP, inventory optimization, and production support in short‑ and long‑term horizons.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Excel expert; experience with Dynamics 365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day purchasing execution for both US sites (Sussex, WI and Marlboro, NJ).
• Consolidate demand and leverage shared suppliers; manage inter-site transfers and stock balancing.
• Partner with production, engineering, quality, service, and warehouse teams to align supply plans.
• Manage suppliers and act as primary owner of supplier performance, cost, and continuity.
• Plan, procure, and ensure material availability for production and service operations.
• Monitor supply risks, capacity constraints, and obsolescence; mitigate with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate logistics and resolve shipment deviations; ensure on‑time delivery.
