Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a US Medical Director for Transplantation to lead the medical strategy for belumosudil and transplant programs in the US. You will collaborate across global medical teams and external partners to drive evidence generation and scientific exchange.

The role requires an advanced degree and 5+ years in Medical Affairs or clinical development, with strong regulatory and leadership capabilities. A strong focus on kidney transplantation and real‑world evidence will be essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs or clinical development experience (will consider academia).
• Advanced degree (e.g., M.D., PhD., PharmD, DNP or MSc Pharm with extensive therapeutic area experience).
• Functional Expertise—knowledge of product labeling, regulations regarding promotion and educational activities.
• Strong literature knowledge of stem cell/bone marrow transplantation and related disease processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute an integrated medical plan for belumosudil including publications, IME, advisory boards, and data dissemination.
• Identify and implement medical research projects supporting strategic objectives (Sanofi‑sponsored, external collaborations, investigator‑initiated).
• Serve as medical representative for regulatory and reimbursement documents and provide clinical insights for new opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global medical, commercial, regulatory, legal, and scientific communications teams.
• Support health professionals to optimize patient care through evidence‑based decisions and coordinate US medical affairs activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders and inform the Medical Plan with field insights.
• Review and approve promotional materials for medical accuracy; translate insights into strategy.
